The Queensland branch was formed in 1964, and the committee is based in Brisbane. The needs of country members have long been a concern for the committee, and activities have sometimes been mounted by flying teams of presenters to isolated communities.

RSCM Qld Committee member, Dr Steven Nisbet OAM as amassed quite a collection of hymn reharmonisations over the years – but how does he do it? In this two-part video series, Steven unpacks the techniques he uses, which will help you compose reharmonisations of your own. The video is in two parts, both of which are below. But wait, there’s more! Download the resource for these videos by clicking here.
Staying in Vocal Condition
A topical piece as restrictions start to ease – what will our voices be like, and how can we help them stay in condition? Here, Adele Nisbet tells you how! This helpful video comes with a fabulous resource available here.
Organ Stops (Part 1)
Organ stops can look a little confusing, but thankfully there are conventions that help us anticipate what we’re going to get for a given stop. Steven takes us thought this in this video, and provides a handy reference available here.
Organ Stops (Part 2)
This is the second video in a series on organ stops led by RSCM Committee Member, Dr Steven Nisbet. This part looks at some different ways to combine organ stops, and comes with a reference guide available here.
