This 2 hour program includes a broad selection of musical and dance styles from City of Melbourne’s cultural heritage, which is also a world music repertoire, especially designed for family viewing by all communities, also national and international tourists to enjoy.
Leading exponents of their art, professional musicians, 4 choirs, vocalists, instrumentalists and the grand organ present musical heritage performed on authentic instruments, in original languages, as one musical unit. First time ever they will be ringing Melbourne’s famous Federation handheld bells from each performer’s segment to the next, creating a seamless flow of sound throughout the entire program. 140 performers and audience join in bell ringing, creating a powerful spirit of unity and togetherness, celebrating the beauty of our diversity, as one community, as one world…
The key personnel include Andrew Wailes, David Kram, Rhys Arvidson, Marco Cinque, etc. The St Francis Youth Choir, accompanied by Rhys Arvidson on the Grand Organ, Conductor: Andrew Wailes, will perform in this concert representing Western Christian sacred music.
