QLD: Handel in the Hinterland… and Beyond.

November 26, 2017 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

George Friderick Handel composed his entire epic oratorio, Messiah, over the course of an astounding 24 days – a feat, as we know, not unusual for him. He was no stranger to such lightning-speed bouts of epic composition. His Messiah has long been a recognised seasonal favourite, as the Christmas season approaches.

On the 26th November 2017, Hinterland residents and visitors will be treated to a musical degustation of excerpts from this glorious oratorio, in half-hour, bite-sized courses at three venues through our Hinterland.

The Sunshine Coast Choral Society, with guest performers, will present these offerings under the expert and always-infectious baton of our conductor, Adrian King, more than ably-assisted by our enormously-talented accompanist, Natasha Koch, at the piano.

Performances of excerpts on the 26th November, shall take place at …

  • 11.00am at Montville Village Hall, Montville
  • 1.00pm at White Eagle Lodge, Witta
  • 2.30pm at Mooloolah Public Hall, Mooloolah
