Andrew Liang is 17 years old. He started violin at the age of six. He is currently in year 12 at Ku-Ring-Gai High School. In 2011 he was selected for the Australian String Academy’s special program as a violin talent and learns with Professor Peter Zhang.

Andrew won the 2014 under 14 violin solo section in the Sydney Eisteddfod, and subsequently performed on MTV for Missy Higgins’ new album. In 2014 Andrew was chosen to represent his school in a solo performance at Hornsby RSL. In 2015 he won second place in the under 16 violin solo section of the Sydney Eisteddfod. In 2015 and 2016 Andrew played a musical violin tribute at the Roseville RSL ANZAC Commemoration ceremony. In 2018, Andrew was awarded the Meadowmount School of Music Camp Scholarship to study in the United States of America for seven weeks. In 2018 he was chosen as a member of the Schools Spectacular orchestra.
